Radical conceptual designer Martin Margiela founded his eponymous couture house in 1988 and quickly established himself at the forefront of the Belgian fashion avant-garde. Today the label is run by Glenn Martens, who has maintained the brand’s intellectual blend of conceptualism and luxury.

The 5AC 'Loved to Death', crafted from grainy leather, features top handles and an optional shoulder strap. It is accented with the logo label at the front. The iconic 5AC line takes its name from the French word 'sac' (bag), exploring the Maison's "Anonymity of the lining" concept. The bag's metal rivets are covered in leather by hand, with the metal visible only where needed, for a clean look. Artisanal details include the bag's exposed edges hand-painted in tone with the leather.
