Kismet Olfactive is an independent New York City fragrance studio founded by Shabnam Tavakol. Trained at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery in the South of France, Tavakol—whose name is Farsi for “morning dew”—draws deep inspiration from her Persian heritage and her California upbringing. The brand’s name refers to the serendipitous moments of good fortune that define a life, translating these experiences into evocative, wearable scents. Kismet blends Eastern tradition and Western modernity through a narrative-driven range of influences, offering a collection of perfumes that serve as a bridge to cultural stories and transportive, personal memories.
