Isabella Rossellini, her daughter Elettra Wiedemann, and breakout designer Aisling Camps are weaving the farm-to-fashion blueprint with this luxury capsule of locally crafted knitwear. Mama Farm — actress Isabella Rossellini’s bucolic Long Island escape dedicated to animal conservation and biodiversity — is home to the collection. Each piece is spun locally using the wool of five rare heritage-breed sheep that are personally raised by Rossellini and her team.
Most precious among the collection is the O’Keefe vest, named after the sheep from who its springy, delicate curls were carefully clipped, conditioned (without altering the natural curl), and then individually hand-placed and stitched by Aisling herself. The knitting process alone takes about a week. Only two will ever be made.
