Dreamtime

An abstract owl glides over a checkerboard,  basket-woven from antique silk sarees. The soft blue base keep the composition airy and light. We think this piece works equally well over a mantle, or child's bed. Appliquéd antique silks and dense embroidery give each element texture and presence. The result is a tapestry that feels animated and mellow.    All tapestries are editions of 50, regardless of size or customisation. Once the last one sells, it is then added to the archives and not for sale.
