Screenprint. New York, 1982. German filmmaker Rainer Werner Fassbinder commissioned Warhol to design a poster for his adaptation of Querelle, a novel by Jean Genet. The shared sensibilities of these two artists were a perfect match, and Warhol produced this stunning work for the poster.
