Simple Flight

Simple Flight evokes upward motion — a pale bulb-like form surrounded by looping black lines and anchored by soft horizontal stripes. A single stitched bird glides across the top; life's endless solo journey. With its earthy palette and abstract narrative, the tapestry feels meditative and balanced. Each appliqué is cut and stitched by hand, using antique silks sarees and linens, allowing small shifts and textures that keep the piece vibrantly imperfect — a gentle reminder of human craft.   All tapestries are editions of 50, regardless of size or customisation. Once the last one sells, it is then added to the archives and not for sale.
