Suno

Max Osterweis is one of those talented people who can turn something ugly into something very beautiful. The New York-based designer behind the womenswear label, Suno, had been collecting vintage textiles from Kenya for years before a period of violence in the country threatened to damage the industry and inspired him to turn his fabrics into a collection of gorgeous dresses and separates to continue to support the industry. Osterweis and his design partner, Erin Beatty, have recently been nominated for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award so their first runway show for Spring Summer 2012 was especially exciting.
