Naeem Khan Bridal
To many, the best part of the wedding festivities is the reception after. Naeem Khan certainly emphasized this mindset, as he spared the formalities and kicked off his Fall 2016 show by serving tequila to arriving guests. The collection that ensued echoed the Spanish spirit that was toasted with those preliminary cocktails, as a floral-canopied runway parted to reveal of string of bohemian looks inspired by no other than Frida Kahlo. The muse’s elaborate flower headpieces (worn by every model) influenced floral-lace gowns that were ornately beaded with pearls and crystals. Elsewhere, Kahlo’s effortless Mediterranean ease swept through ethereal caftans that delicately buttoned along the front. Even the details referenced this sense of Spanish allure, as cowl necklines and corset bodices toyed the line between sophistication and sensuality. Just as the show kicked off with a fiesta spirit, there were several short cocktail styles, one done in ornate fringed feathers and another in Victorian lace, which proved the perfect accompaniments to the dance floor.
