Marco de Vincenzo
One for the maximalists since his debut on the Milan runway, Marco de Vincenzo took his flair for the hyper-real to Japan this season in an Eastern exploration of color, pattern, and texture. Loose, graphic interpretations of Mount Fuji and the red disc from the Japanese flag starred across dresses, coats, and tees. Smart, box-cut coats looked perfectly vivacious in kimono silks. Rendered in a color-laden mélange of brocade, lace, and chiffon that had been shredded for a fur-like effect, de Vincenzo delivered a collection that worked for both day and night.
