Having spent her childhood surrounded by art—her mother was the furniture and jewelry designer Osanna Visconti and her father was the gallerist Giangaleazzo Visconti di Modrone—Milan-born Madina Visconti seemed to be destined for a creative career. So it came as no surprise when she designed her first piece of jewelry, a silver “M” pendant, at age 12. After studies in Milan and London, she went on to launch contemporary jewelry line Madina Visconti with her mother. A common source of inspiration is her garden, which influenced the latest collection: 11 pairs of fanned earrings, reminiscent of butterfly wings, in 11 equally gorgeous shades. Each pair is cast by skilled artisans at the Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, the Milanese foundry used by some of Italy’s most famous sculptors.
