Alex Sickling's Large Black & White Flowered Staffordshire Dogs are crafted from a plaster mold, allowing her to make multiple copies of the same form. Each figure is then slip cast using white earthenware, to guarantee a crisp, pristine surface when fired. Alex has long been drawn to the surface texture and color of the original ornaments, having studied many variations in antique shops and flea markets. Sold as a pair.
