Fragmentia Triad 01

The Fragmentia Triad 01 is a three-tiered sculpture composed of a bust, torso, and hips. Designed with removable stone elements aligned along a central axis, the piece offers flexibility and allows for personalized arrangements.

In keeping with her signature exploration of the female form, Marcela Cure presents a sculptural memento that reflects the contemplative yet beautiful complexities of womanhood. Through hand-sculpted and hand-cast fragments that form an upright torso, Cure draws clear references to the anatomical studies of the Italian Renaissance while embracing more deliberate, geometric forms.

The figure exists as an assembly—the stacking of three individual, removable stone fixtures along a single stone axis—and, much like womanhood itself, is multidimensional and imbued with an intangible gravity. It serves as a reminder of romance in complexity and poetry in resilience.
