Founded in 1643, on the threshold of the reign of Louis XIV, Cire Trudon is the oldest Candlemaker in the world still active today.
Cire Trudon's collection of 'Pillar' candles pays homage to Madame de Pompadour — defender of the arts and literature, and Louis the 15th favorite. Milled, colored and decorated in its Normandy atelier, each is topped with a gilded cameo that represents her love of the ornamental piece.
