- Washing:
- Hand washing is always the best choice. Use warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid rough sponges or brushes, which can rub off delicate decorations. Instead, gently wash with a soft cloth.
- Don't wash in the dishwasher. High temperatures, strong detergents and water pressure in the dishwasher can irreparably damage gold-plated pieces, causing them to tarnish or even wear out completely.
Use and storage:
- Avoid sharp tools. Do not use knives or other metal cutlery directly on gold-plated surfaces. This can cause scratches and damage.
- Careful stacking. If you must stack plates on top of each other, lay them with a soft material, such as felt, to avoid scratches.
- Do not use in the microwave.
