For Restless Sleepers
There’s a pajama party happening this spring. Inspired by the easy sophistication of the palazzo pajama—developed in Rome in the 1960s—designer Francesca Ruffini has capitalized on the current craze for loungewear with her up-and-coming brand. Proposing fluid separates and sensual robes de chambre (that’s French for “bathrobe”), Ruffini proves that sleepwear and daywear need not be exclusive. Rendered in silk sourced from her native Como and enlivened with vibrant prints, each piece effortlessly transitions from day to night while exuding a sense of languid luxury. Presented in the comfort of Ruffini’s private Milan home, this latest collection makes a strong case for sporting pajamas everywhere outside the bedroom.
