I am going to say something that may surprise you: I don’t live for fashion. I know, GASP! I realize that coming from someone who works at Moda and who directs our content (and who has a pretty extensive shoe collection), this may sound a bit blasphemous—even more blasphemous when I tell you that I have worked in fashion since I moved to New York over a decade ago, as an editor and later freelance writer at the most fashion-y of titles and a newspaper.
