Father’s Day can feel like a loaded holiday. But honoring dads doesn’t need to be heavy or fake. As proof, we tapped a few young fathers at Moda HQ to chat candidly about their (in)experience raising kids.
Senior Designer Jon Harney is known around the office for not mincing words.
“It's all still new," he said about fatherhood, "but it's really exposed the depth of my strengths and weaknesses. Raising a daughter makes me want to show up for every interaction with kindness and creativity.”
Andrew Matson is the Moda Men’s Editorial Director, and believes in real dad style.
“I’ve found fatherhood means showing up every day, however you can. And forgiving yourself. Stylewise, I see fathers settling into a few standard outfits. But that’s cool to me. Uniform dressing is a strong move. In any category, just one new, amazing piece has the power to make the whole look snap into focus.”
