TRUNKSHOW ENDING IN 9 DAYS
While many designs are likened to wearable works of art, few pieces live up to the title like Nasrin Jean-Baptiste’s bags. The former stylist was born in London to Haitian immigrants and now runs her label out of Brooklyn, working with D.O.T. Haiti—a female-led organization that provides support, employment, and education to locals—on production. Equal parts chic and lively, effortless yet statement-making, her styles are instantly recognizable for their long-swinging fringe. Each strand is hand-sewn by a Haitian artisan—656 times for the larger styles and 342 times for the minis—and then affixed to organic cotton net bags with 100% leather handles.
