PORZELLAN NYMPHENBURG
Founded in 1747, the German porcelain manufacturer boasts an illustrious history, having produced several pieces for royalty. Jewelry designer Ted Muehling has been partnering with the house since 1999—and was commissioned to create this reissue of Porzellan Nymphenburg’s first-ever royal service, dating back to 1756. The original was made in the Rococo style and featured plates decorated with floral designs, which proved an enduring alternative to the real thing (prone to wilt as it was). The update features plates, candy boxes, and vases adorned in butterflies and delicate pastels—and appears alongside an exquisite assortment of the brand’s lifelike table flowers—from horned violets to chrysanthemums—as well as the egg vases that have become a signature of Muehling’s ongoing collaboration with the porcelain purveyor.
