AKRIS

Albert Kriemler’s latest take on elevated, quiet sophistication comes loosely inspired by his signature Ai bag (this season marks its 10th anniversary). At Paris’s Grand Palais, models emerged from a life-sized rendition of the bag in layered, airy looks with geometric lines and details that reference Italian painter Antonio Calderara. The artist’s light-refracting works also informed the silvery, scintillating palette, as well as two new fabrics created in-house: a silver foil stripe and a metallic Lurex jersey.

The buys: the silk pleated midi and boot-leg trousers (a pairing that’s trending for Spring), and the new, trompe l’oeil update to the Ai, dubbed the Aicon.
