Adeam

The designer: Hanako Maeda's collections always nod to her native Japan, while finding inspiration in form and structure—whether that be the city of NY or the art of modern dance.   This season it's about: Clothes that move with the body. Silhouettes steal from ballet shapes, while the pastels reference the hues used in Ward Roberts' photographs. The asymmetrical chevron weave has a stretch quality, allowing it to mold to the natural curves of the woman wearing it, so that it’s never “wearing her."
